Advantages: many features to mention

Disadvantages: none at all apart from wanting a bigger one

This is my tv, i bought it in 2007 from comet brixton, i was offered an extra warranty but decided to decline it because i have contents insurance. I paid £1099 for the 40 inch bravia lcd.

Two weeks later me and my partner were looking at other products in comet and i decided to look at the tv section to my surprise my tv was there under another offer £1149 including the glass stand and a surround sound with 6 speakers. I spoke to the manager and whinged a bit and then offered me the rest of the package for £50. I was well chuffed.

The TV comes with a silver remote even though i think that a black remote would be better fitting.

the tv is fantastic it has picture in picture which means you can view something on another channel similar to the sky plus system; built in digital channels; different screen options i.e widescreen,16:9, 4:3 and so on; mute, teletext, swap, power saving, sound mode, picture mode, sleep timer and lots more

the surround sound is faboulous it eliminates the need for a separate sounds system, the bass provides great sound, and if you are watching a film you can hear everything.

the surround sound model is the DAV DZ111 dvd home theatre system, it comes with a bass booster, centre speaker and four smaller speakers with long speaker wires that you put anywhere you want.

it works well with my sky box but my sky remote does not or can not control the volume.

I have had no faults at all, i bought it because of the name and reputation even though i could have bought a LG for £200 less and a bigger screen.

at the minute this is in my front room and i think it would be better suited to a bedroom or games room. the next one will be bigger and again another sony.
