The S4000 series delivers pristine, detail-packed images with any HD source, including Blu-ray disc players, PLAYSTATION 3 or Handycam HD camcorders by Sony. There's also an integrated DVB-C/DVB-T tuner for enjoying standard definition TV broadcasts. The 40-inch screen size model features a 1080p Full HD panel. It's complemented by BRAVIA ENGINE 2 signal processing technology for pictures with breathtaking detail, contrast and true-to-life color. The LCD panel offers a very high dynamic contrast ratio 33000:1 ensuring deep, cinema-like blacks plus sparkling highlights. 24p True Cinema mode displays movies from Blu-ray Discs at the correct frame rate as intended for theatrical presentation. This ensures a more authentic home cinema experience, with the action playing at exactly the right speed as the director intended. More Sony televisions

Rating:
Ok, so I spent ages mulling over which tv to buy. I spoke to my friend who worked in comet, and he was convinced that this one was the daddy. I agree I havent been let down by anything that this tv has to offer. The picture quality is awesome, delivering full 1080p and a really crisp clear picture. Stick this through a PS3, and you can be assured of some really breathtaking visuals. I bought this telly for about a grand, and you can now pick this up on some websites for about £700, and I would say thats a total bargain! Downsides: This TV when switched off might not look as classy as the newer models, which feature piano black gloss finish and different coloured ...

We decided to treat ourselves to a nice TV. Thank and thank you ...

Sony Bravia KDL-40S2010

Rating:
As the S-series is one of Sony s latest offerings in their LCD TV range, it incorporates their Bravia technology which combines enhanced picture processing and improved colour filtering, which in turn produces a great viewing experience! The picture quality is very impressive when using certain inputs, but does show up the poor quality of some signals such as the graphics on Sky Digital can look a bit blocky but DVDs and Games consoles are fantastic! The sound quality is also top notch, even though I am using the standard built in speakers for now, with the ability to tweak the sound settings, you can achieve faultless sound quality. From what I know looking at the ...
