From someone who had a HD subscription I can say it works really well with our HD box and the picture is amazing. It was easy to set up in itself but we have it attached to a stand so the TV looks as if it is floating just above the stand and the wires are hidden (looks well). We set it up with the HD box as soon as we bought it but in recent times and the current economical climate, we reduced our sky package so it does not include the high definition service. Yes HD is amazing, but in all honesty, the normal picture that this TV provides is pretty amazing too. The screen resolution is 1920 x 1080bp which is the purest form of high definition thant a tv can display. ...
