A big screen with a crystal clear picture

I bought my Sony Bravia KDL46W2000 in 2006 and have not had any issues with it. The picture quality is excellent, and the contrast ratio of 33,000 : 1 was a high standard for it's day. I would recommend that any home cinema enthusiast uses external speakers, but I do use the built-in TV speakers in the evenings when the baby is in bed. The sound is clear, with better than average quality for a built-in speaker system. The 46" screen is HUGE yet 1080p Blu-Ray looks vibrant and stunningly clear and detailed. I would recommend only using this TV if you are sat 10ft+ from the screen though.

There have been reported issues with "clouding" on some screens, where the back-light is brighter in the corners. I did have a slight issue at first, although once I tweaked the contrast and turned the back-light down to a more comfortable level for viewing it was no longer visible.

I would recommend this screen to anyone, and I have been impressed enough that when I do get round to replacing it I'll chose another in the Sony Bravia range.
