The built in Freeview is also easy to set up. You just press DTV on the remote and then use the auto scanner to get all the channels. Sony are known for high quality as this is the same here. I use the TV primarily for Blu Ray and gaming and the picture is very good. It runs games in 720p most of the time with the odd exception where it will change to 1080i. Blu Ray is shown in 1080i and looks excellent. Even running DVDs through the PS3 upscaler looks extremely good on this set. Most problems with HDTVs are found in SD sources, not HD. Recently there has only been one make when it comes to televisions, Sony . There has also only been one brand that embodies the quality of the item, Bravia. This 46" Widescreen LCD version certainly lives up the name. HD ready with full 1080p resolution means that watching anything on this screen is simply a joyful experience.
