The sound quality is ok - it is plenty loud enough etc but probably could do with sound surround sound speakers to thoroughly take advantage of the feeling of being at the cinema which this really does have. Our last Sony (CRT) television had been with us for 10 years or more and had never given any problems and the same can be said for our Sony video recorder.
