Sony KDL-32W5500 ... have just purchased a Sony KDL-32W5500 from 1staudiovisual.co.uk as after spending days trawling the net I was unable to beat their price. I have not used this company before and was as delighted with their service as I was with their price. I chose the KDL-32W5500 as I was looking for a medium sized TV with a good level of connectivity options and specifically USB and this model seemed to fit the bill. I have still not totally got my head around the little widgets but find features such as the world clock to be very useful as I have relatives in several countries overseas. Sony KDL-37W5500 ... Sony W series has a quite good reputation as a dependable and good quality picture TV. However, as the 37" is a relatively uncommon size in Sony TV s in most shops in the UK it will be over priced. The 40 inch version will be better value. Also, regarding the speck a trait that can often be found in Sony TV s is that they will have a similar series with quite similar speck but at a lower price. Usually it is the V series that will be cheaper version of the Sony W. Regarding the W5500 speck, it has all that most people will want: it is full HD 1080p, and 100hz. Sony KDL-32W5500 ... to both an Xbox 360 and Virgin Media HD. Both of which look superb. The pictures are flicker free which look rich and deep. Sound quality is ok but to get the most out of HD signals you would need a seperate surround sound system. For normal TV the sound quality is ok but can seem a bit flat at times. The pretend surround sound the system provides is not up to the standard you would expect from Sony. The overall design of the TV looks sleek and shiny although the gloss finish does attract an awful lot of dust, I have to clean mine every other day!
