... quality is ok but to get the most out of HD signals you would need a seperate surround sound system. For normal TV the sound quality is ok but can seem a bit flat at times. The pretend surround sound the system provides is not up to the standard you would expect from Sony. Sony KDL-32V4000 ... plasma TVs, also LCD technology can generally deliver brighter pictures than plasma. LCD TVs generally use less power than plasma TVs because they don t need to power hundreds of electrodes to stimulate phosphors & they won t get hounded by EU politicians who are considering banning power hungry Plasma TVs. FINAL DECISION The final decision for me was LCD & I rather took a fancy to Sony s Bravia 32" LCD TV a while ago when it first went on sale. However the thought of paying the best part of £700.00 wasn t so appealing. With a TV war between big retailers before last Christmas the price of this TV had plummeted. Sony KDL-32S3020 ... paint on the remote has started to wear away to reveal a rather cheap looking gray plastic, considering i have only been using the TV for a year i think this is a bit bad. The picture quality is very very good, i used the THX set up DVD to get the settings correct, and this makes a real difference to the picture. The sound quality of the TV is OK, but a little quiet for larger rooms. The TV features a whole host of outputs on the back including two HDMI outs, which is a real plus, and an advantage over many other TV s in this price range which only offer 1. Sony KDL-40W5500 ... my trusty Trinitron (literally) went pop, I turned to amazon for my next TV purchase, having been impressed with their service and good prices over the years. I was looking for a 37" W series Sony Bravia but as this model was only £10 more expensive (£759.99) , it would have been rude not to go for the bigger screen. Despite specifying next day delivery, it actually took three days to arrive (via Citylink) but the extra £8.80 charge was politely and promptly refunded within three hours of my inquiry. Like all amazon deliveries, tracking was easy online. It comes with a Sony 3 year guarantee. OUT OF THE BOX It was actually light enough to remove from the box ...
