Advantages: good price
Disadvantages: only one scart socket
I bought this Technika television from Tescos for £299 about 8 months ago. The television is a great modern looking flat screen TV with a sleek and very shiny black surround. The control buttons are flat to the surround and cannot be seen easily.
It has 720p resolution with 50Hz picture frequency now although I'm not too sure what this means technically I can tell you that I find the picture quality to be very clear and crisp and I have absolutely no complaints in that department.
The sound quality from the television again is very good the only problem really is when my husband turns it up ridiculously loud to watch films I find it can distort the sound slightly however most people probably wouldn't want it as loud as he does anyway, so it wouldn't be an issue for most people.
I have sky so I didn't have to tune in the Freeview channels so I can't comment on how easy/difficult that would be.
The only real negative point to make about this television is that there is only one scart socket, I must admit that when I bought the television I didn't notice and as my husband is a keen x box player and I love to watch dvds and play on the wii I found it useful to by a scart splitter so I could have everything plugged in at the same time.
Summary: a great bargain buy
