Advantages: Ease of set up and wonderful, deep colours
Disadvantages: Remote could be better
I have owned this LCD TV for a few years now and I can say it is excellent. It is getting a bit long in the tooth compared to the Regza range that Toshiba now have out, but it is still an excellent buy if you are looking for a quality TV.
The picture is very good, with vivid colours and perfect 'blacks'. There is no hint of ghosting or pixilation that can effect cheaper sets. It has a wide range of inputs including two HDMI inputs and a component input that takes separate screen information to the set. This last one is ideal for plugging an ipod into as it allows programs to be shown at maximum quality. HD pictures look great, even though this set does not display in full 1080p, rather 720p. With sets under 36 inches it is difficult to tell anyway.
Sound is great with a wide range of speaker settings that allow you to emphasis bass or dialogue, together with a setting that will lower the volume automatically when there is an increase is film volume (say during an explosion).
Set up is easy and automated, with a built in freeview receiver. The only criticism is that the remote can be a little clunky but the controls are clear. In addition it can easily be connected to a pc so streaming from a laptop is great and you can watch all your on demand programs.
Finally it looks stylish and goes well in a small flat where anything bigger does overwhelm the room.
Summary: Ideal tv for the smaller room.
