Advantages: features, styling, usb port, 1080p, 100hz
Disadvantages: speakers
The Toshiba 37XV635DB has a lot of features for the price of £550 which in my opinion makes it really good value for money for a branded good looking LCD TV. I like the glossy Toshiba styling and thin frame.
This TV has 100hz meaning you get a smooth nice flowing picture and with full hd 1080p & upscaling of freeview and hdmi inputted content this is a great sharp quality TV.
The TV has 4 hdmi ports which is more than enough for a blu-ray player, ps3 and sky+ hd. It also has a USB port where by you can playback divx movies without the need for a dvd or dedicated media player and this is a superb feature. The 20w speakers are good for a thin TV although a separate system would be best as with most TVs.
Toshiba also tout this as an eco-panel which uses less energy and can be switched off not just left on standby. The Toshiba logo which lights up can also be turned off.
Overall a great looking full featured 1080p 100hz TV with nice features like a USB port for a suprisingly good price for a top brand like Toshiba.
Summary: great value for money
