Advantages: picture, sound features , compactness a stunner!!!

Disadvantages: a bit pricey but coming down

A 40" LCD that is the same size as most 37" models. That was what attracted me initially to this LCD. I have limited space and a lot 40" LCDs are just way to big and bulky. The Toshiba boasts what is perhaps the thinnest bezel on the market and this is the key to its compactness. It indeed fits nicely where my old 32 bulky old cathod monster use to occupy. But this is not all, this is a very high spec lcd with all the usual inputs and outputs, bells and whistles you would expect to find on any high end LCD. I bought this LCD through the internet as the usual big stores (Curry's et al do not appear to stock it). It's a shame because it really is a stunner. However, it's not cheap but then you are paying for it's compact design and high quality performance. Yes, look at the tech spec its all there, so I won't bore you with that. My wife loves it and she hates the usual bulky 40" Lcds but she loves this one so on the whole a very good buy. One further thing this is the ZF model is the top of the range Toshiba. They also do the 40 XF model slightly cheaper they both look identical and the major difference is that the ZF has the full 100mz refresh rate as opposed to the lower 50hz. Higher refresh rate means a better and more stable picture when watching sport and fast action movement. Otherwise, both very fine LCDs.

Summary: A fantastic LCD when less is more
