Quantity over quality, but great for the price
The Aesthetics - As with many modern TV's in the Sub £600 bracket, the surround of the TV has a remarkable resemblance to the more superior quality TV's of this size. The stand is elegant and blends nicely in to the overall surround of the TV.
The Usability - As with the majority of Toshiba TV's, moving from the same brand to a different model is a piece of cake. Setting up was a few clicks of the remote, with no need what so ever for referring to the manual! Within 15 minutes the TV was set up and ready to use, finding all of the channel within the local region.
The Quality - Sadly Toshiba have adopted a quantity over quality approach for this TV. The specifications are high, and on paper easily outstrip more expensive rivals in the Sub £600 bracket. But for the standard digital view, the picture is some what disappointing. The high-gloss design results in glare from the surround, and screen, making viewing with the lights/bright sun light through the curtains, some what unpleasant.
However dim down the lights, and you can snap yourself a bargain!
The Reliability - Difficult to tell, as I've not had it for that long.
The Summary - For those wanting a high spec over quality 42" TV at budget, or after a second TV for the bed room!
