I shopped around a lot before choosing this TV as I wanted one that would do everything I needed and at a reasonable price. I finally purchased it from Amazon as this was where it was available for the best price (and Amazon's free delivery) when I bought it. I found quite a lot of confusion between the 37XV503 and the 37XV505 models when I was choosing a TV - the only difference I can establish is that the 503 has a black surround while the 505 is silver though there may be more to it than this. a slightly larger combined TV and DVD player for our room. We did a lot of research on style, price, specifications and reliability and eventually decided to buy the Toshiba 22DV555DB LCD TV/DVD Combi. At the time the cheapest deal was at www.laskys.com and we paid £333.94 receiving £4.17 cash back via Cashinco. I have just checked to see what the current prices are and have got a bit of a shock as it is now just £278 - I wonder if they d send us a refund? LOL! I also noticed that the price at Amazon is £277.98 although it is still over £300 on other sites so it is worth shopping around. my own 37x3030d 1080p Toshiba maybe better. menu is the same and easy to use this tv is great for £549 better than any samsung or phillips 37 in . you need to adjust the colour and the brightness to your own taste after that it looks perfect to me the only thing i have bad to say is the sound adjust to your own taste. i wanted to give this tv five stars but it has low sound so * three stars this is a good buget tv . i hope this helps pepole to find what they want form a tv for under £600 . ps this tv was for my bedroom i also have a 1080i upscaling dvd player hdmi i put a dvd on and it close to hd perfect image. if you dont want to break the bank and want a good tv ...
