The Gelert range of products are typically low priced and of average quality and performance. This tent has met the first criteria and easily surpassed my expectations on the second. Its a one man tent and just enough for one at that, which keeps the weight and pack size to a minimum. Great for hiking, mountain bike touring and motorcyclists. It's not DofE recommended but at a third of the price of their recommended 1 man tent it fits the bill perfectly. I am new to hiking and camping and was a little unsure as to whether I would enjoy it. After doing my research into which tents offer different solutions I realised that I needed a single person tent which was small and compact.
