Advantages: Nice design, bright and precise image, excellent colors

Acer LCD F51 is the quite decent LCD monitor, not conceding on quality to newer models of other manufacturers. The picture on screen is of very good quality, which in addition to is not worsened, almost with magnification of an angle of the review. The monitor has pleasant and ergonomic design, accurate fulfillment, has an external power supply unit, that reduces probability of origin of distortions in an image when leaps of voltage.

The model Acer LCD F51 is well constructed, successfully uses advantages of LCD-technology and ensures a bright and precise image even for significant modification of an angle of the review. The monitor has a good possibility of set a necessary level of brightness and contrast and has demonstrated smoothness of color transitions. It is has quite good colors and rather high characteristics, among which it is necessary especially to mark a high image contrast (300:1).

For connection to the personal computer the traditional 15-contact pin of type D is used. The technologies of "intellectual" auto process of scaling of an image and interpolation of pixels for modification of the resolution (mode "smooth") are supported. The function iKey allows by one pressing a key to make automatic set-up of parameters of an image for a concrete videomode. There is a support of a mode True Color with use of technology FRC. The screen monitor supports the digital standards DDC1 and DDC2B for compatibility with a mode plug-and-play Windows 95/98/2000.

But it has some defects. Nonuniformity of filling of color fields - there are darkening in some areas of a screen. It has an inconvenient subsystem of set-up. Acer LCD F51 offers same, not so convenient, on my sight, system of interactive menus iScreen for a modification of parameters of an image, as in others monitors of this firm. From the menu in any way it is impossible to leave, and consequently it is necessary to wait for its vanishing. When fast moving on a
screen it has low for modern LCD monitors a velocity of a response.
