Acer AL1711

I bought myself one of these a year ago in the Comet sale, for £150 at that time you couldn't find a decent 17" TFT anywhere so I bought it on the spot. I use it for games, video editing, surfing the web, writing letters, everything a typical home user does and its never once given me a reason to complain. I've used alternative ones from HP, Video7 and Dell and none of them offer the same quality of picture for the same cost. I’ll be honest, I have always used standard CRT monitors up to my last one which was 17” I have very recently purchased this Acer AL1711 model and initially was very impressed by it. It was affordable and looked good too! Then after only two weeks of using the monitor it broke! For some reason it just decided to switch off after a quiet ‘Click’ noise. After checking all of the obvious potential reasons for this I came to the conclusion that it was faulty. After speaking to some very helpful and polite people it has now been collected by the manufacturer for repair.
