I bought this monitor in November for £119 at argos. This monitor is well worth the cash, for a modern day flat screen monitor. I run my Windows resolution at 1440x900, This is the maximum resolution which is stated on the box, no problems there, as this is the normal resolution for me. The "border" around the side of the monitor isn t as big as the pictures show. Like Most if not all monitors this has a wall mount on the back. Once setting the monitor up i clicked the button "Auto" which set the colors and resolution perfect for my needs. I haven t needed to play with the settings on the monitor, only on the computer side. monitor! I was buying a new PC anyway, to replace a laptop, and was convinced I should get a widescreen, so that the monitor could double as a TV/DVD player in my bedroom. Looking around the market it was soon apparent that Acer make some very well specced good value PCs, but I wasnt going to have one of their monitors unless it was also good value and gave a quality picture. myself a 19" TFT screen to replace my old CRT monitor and realised it didn t quite fit my requirement but that s my own fault as it was bought in a hurry. So with my mind made up on the fact that the old screen just wasn t right for me I decided to be a bit more careful and do a little research.
