The Acer AL1916 series come in both black and silver (mine is silver), its a 19 inch flatscreen (TFT) monitor and it is very light and durable. It is very easy to install with standard vga socket and even easier to set up as it has a great button marked AUTO which does pretty much everything for you. This has 4 settings which are Auto (does everything), Text, Standard,Graphics & Movie. I haven t tried the other settings so I can t say much about them. monitor! I was buying a new PC anyway, to replace a laptop, and was convinced I should get a widescreen, so that the monitor could double as a TV/DVD player in my bedroom. Looking around the market it was soon apparent that Acer make some very well specced good value PCs, but I wasnt going to have one of their monitors unless it was also good value and gave a quality picture.
