With the fairly recent installation of high-speed broadband in the house my whole family became attached to the internet. We have a couple of laptops and PC's and the need for an LCD Monitor followed the purchase of our second PC. Although it isn't new it suits the needs for internet usage, but we decided to replace the monitor as the screen was very much outdated and a little on the small side.
The Acer V193DOb is a 19" TFT LCD Monitor and offers a super high quality resolution. This monitor is said to save you 50% of the energy of your old monitor. The 4:3 format display means this monitor isn't widescreen but offers good all round performance and is simple to operate. The V193DOb is designed for every PC user in mind, from the gamer to the casual internet surfer or even office worker.
The V193DOb is finished in black with a plain overall design and just the Acer branding at the bottom centre of the screen surround. The base of the monitor gives a good, sturdy and solid anchor, and it takes up an acceptable amount of space on your desk. The monitor is simple to operate and the tilt function allows us to easily angle the monitor to our own preferences.
The first thing I noticed upon turning on the monitor, other than the looks, were the clarity of the vibrant and precise detail of the colour and imagery. I am unsure whether having 16.7million colours is impressive compared to competitors' monitors, but it sounds a hell of a lot to me! Priced at around the £100 mark it wasn't at all expensive and with technology moving so fast there are so many good deals around for those looking to upgrade their old monitor. The monitor is compatible with the latest Windows 7 hardware.
The Acer V193DOb monitor comes with a 3 years manufacturer warranty, giving me the peace of mind I were looking for. Obviously when you are paying £100 for something it is always good to have the reassurance that the company are prepared to put their confidence into its quality.
I would be more than happy to recommend the Acer V193DOb 19" monitor to anyone looking to upgrade their PC monitor. If you shop around you are looking at a sub £100 monitor from Acer of the highest quality, backed by a 3 year manufacturers' warranty.
