Advantages: Large bright clear screen, value for money

Disadvantages: Lack of HDMI, poor features, dead pixel on mine

I bought this monitor to replace a smaller screen included in a bundle from PC World. Being sceptical about Acers and their build quality i took the plunge anyway, as the price was excellent.

The screen quality is very good, the colours are vibrant and can be adjusted if necessary. The addiction of a warm/cool filter is a nice option, although the default option is fine. With it's 5 ms refresh rate i was expecting slight ghosting but there isn't any to speak of.

The monitor itself takes a few seconds to warm up when turned on. Also changing the resolution to anything above 1900x1080 isn't advised, as it'll say 'Input Not Supported' and it's hard to get back to a working resolution without having to restart your PC. The monitor only has one VGA input slot, so no HDMI or HD connections of any sort either.

My monitor also came with one red coloured dead pixel which is a shame, but it's not noticeable on anything other than dark colours.

Summary: For the price alone this monitor is worth it, but it's lack of input ports let it down.
