Advantages: Cheap, great build quality and low power consumption.
Disadvantages: Colours feel slightly washed compared to higher priced monitors.
After hearing friends rave about the benefits of running a dual screen setup I decided to treat myself to this monitor to double my viewing pleasure. The monitor has both DVI and VGA support for the older cards. I found it to have great viewing angles and the screen never appeared fuzzy no matter where I was sitting. The screen was bright and the colours onscreen were sharp.
The monitor runs a 16:9 ratio with an 80,000:1 Contrast ratio. This nearly doubles my other 24" monitor (Hyundai) and I found the blacks onscreen to be very dark which was fantastic for movie viewing. (I am a fan of horror movies so this always sticks out for me if it is poor). Its maximum resolution it supports is 1920x1080. I have never experienced any ghosting with the monitor and handles fast paced action sequences a treat.
The menu buttons for the settings are easy to navigate and feel well constructed. The rest of the build feels the same. For such a cheap monitor the quality is fantastic.
With two different monitors in the same setup the colours feel slightly different, but if you went with two of the same I imagine this problem would resolve itself. For the Environmentalists out the you will be pleased to know that this monitor is very low power active and on standby compared to others in its price range so that is fantastic.
Summary: Above average performer in it's price range.
