Acer AL1912s ... Acer AL1912 Monitor is excellent for a budget priced screen. I picked mine up form Tesco a couple of years back now and it hasnt failed me yet! I am a big gamer and I find the colours and refresh rate on this screen MORE than acceptable. I have played games such as Fallout 3, World of warcraft, City of heros, S.T.A.L.K.E.R and many more all of which are quite demanding on the refresh rate and I have yet to notice any ghosting apart from a bright white cursor on a pure black background then there is a sligh trail but you d have troiuble finding better for this price. Acer AL1916Wds ... currently use this monitor on my work PC and it s quite a simple modern design with no frills. The image quality isn t anything special, but I really don t think this is needed for a work PC. If you re looking at getting some sort of Media PC, you may want to look at alternatives with a glossy screen, as this can appear as quite dull at times and if watching a film on full-screen, any dark scenes can appear very pixellated due to the low contrast ratio. It s overal quite a cheap, no frills monitor which looks great. don t be put off by the fact there are no frills with this monitor, it s great for spreadsheets and general day to day use. Acer AL1715msd ... bought this lcd monitor about two years back for a £165 which was nt really that much in those days , however you could easily get one of these for £100 or so ish these days. We had nt bought anything from Acer before and there was nt much about it on the internet either but my husband is an it person and he thought it would nt be a bad bargain and we just went ahead and bougt it. To be honest I have nt had any problems with it at all. specially because I am at the computer for 3-4 hours everyday.
