... this monitor as part of a PC package in December 2007. Was very happy for the size of monitor for the price, especially in a widescreen format. 22" sounded quite a jump up in size vs my old 15", but fitted well onto desk and now really appreciate the extra screen size. Acer X193W ... bought this monitor in November for £119 at argos. This monitor is well worth the cash, for a modern day flat screen monitor. I run my Windows resolution at 1440x900, This is the maximum resolution which is stated on the box, no problems there, as this is the normal resolution for me. The "border" around the side of the monitor isn t as big as the pictures show. Like Most if not all monitors this has a wall mount on the back. Once setting the monitor up i clicked the button "Auto" which set the colors and resolution perfect for my needs. I haven t needed to play with the settings on the monitor, only on the computer side. Acer AL2016WB ... last monitor was a vast behemoth of a thing. At 19" it was a pretty decent Mitsubishi CRT. However, a Mitsubishi Shogun 4x4 would have actually taken up less desk space. So, I was actually glad when the thing started making humming noises and died. Much like my late grandfather but without the gladness. Packaging To my surprise, the monitor - ordered from eBay, arrived splendidly wrapped in finest parchment. The delivery ladies danced their lurid dance and then departed in a puff of sweet-smelling vapour, only to leave behind their underwear as a souvenir of the occasion. Acer AL1923 ... am not very pleased at the moment, I bought this monitor 1 year ago with a 3 year warranty. It worked fine until a month ago when the power suddenly went out. I did everything to isolate the problem, and followed manufacturer reboot procedures to no avail. One day on a whim I tried it out with a different power cord...viola! It worked... for a while then went back out. I found out that it is a carry in warranty with only one repair depot in TEXAS. Acer now expects me to pay to ship it to Texas at my expense. Sucks!...
