Once in use, photo images look OK, but they lack depth due to the poor contrast (quoted at 700:1 or 2000:1 dynamic, which I suppose explains it). Brightness on the other hand was very good, in fact although quoted as 320cd/m2 I would say it is nearer 360. Sound was also more than acceptable. I bought this monitor two days ago because it looked very Mac-like. I thought it was a good match for my sons Mac Mini, but what a disappointment. The packaging is very flimsy, and the screen has no protection in transit. The base snaps on rather crudely and you have no height adjustment, just a very stiff tilt.
