Advantages: Great Quality Image, Well Built, Cheap
Disadvantages: No Speakers, and that's about it
I purchased this monitor about 6 months ago, mainly for the use of its HDMI port for my xbox 360. The thing that attracted me about this monitor was not only the HDMI incorporation, but that this was HDCP compliant aswell, allowing you to hook up blu-ray players and play liscenced through your pc.
The monitor looks great, with a medium sized base which surprisingly hides itself quite well. The skirt of the monitor itself is also pretty small, providing a better viewing experience.
The buttons are placed on the side of the monitor and are invisible unless you are looking directly at them. One of these controls the different modes of the monitor including standard, movie and photo modes. The movie setting is particularly bright and looks fantastic.
The picture quality at 1080i is fantastic and colours appear vivd and vibrant. While blacks are fantastically dark meaning great gaming and movie experiences. There are no integrated speakers however, meaning that you will need another source for your audio, but most integrated speakers tend to be of a poor quality anyway.
The price of this monitor is also amazing, with prices dropping down to sub £500 which is fantastic at this quality.
This monitor will make for a great investment, you will not be disappointed.
Summary: A simply fantastic monitor

- 17/08/08 I guess that's true, considering how good the quality of my tv is when i'm playing my 360, when i plug my laptop in to use as a monitor (i rarely do this but i have tried it out a few times) the quality is no where near as good... so i guess if you have the use for it it's a pretty good price... glad you're enjoying dooyoo any how :) |

- 17/08/08 The price has dropped in many different retailers. The main reason for this price is the fact that it is essentialy a monitor that can be used as a tv, rather than a tv used as a monitor. Providing very good picture quality in any of its uses. |

- 16/08/08 £500 sounds very expensive for a screen that's only 24" and which doesn't even have a TV tuner built in! |
