I was previously using 17" screen which was fine for basic browsing and email usage. Though as i do a lot of word processing it became frustrating trying to compare or edit two documents at the same time. The work i used to do required me to look at one document while referring to another on a smaller screen it means you need to keep minimising and maximising between the two which becomes annoying as you lose where on the document where you looking. This monitor would be a great solution to this and i can now have both at open at the same time.

The look of the monitor is appealing as i noticed on many LCD screen. The sides of many are quite big between the edge of the screen and the edge of the monitor where as this is around an inch. It has a glossy finish to it so is a bit of a dust magnet.

The inputs are VGA, DVI and HDMI and i have used all without any difference in quality although some people would argue but you wont notice on this size of a screen. For those interested VGA is basically analogue which is standard on older pc's with newer ones having a digital connection. The digital are DVI and HDMI the only difference is HDMI which allows you to use sound although this monitor has no speakers. It does have an audio jack if you want to connect speakers or headphones by passing though the sound from HDMI.

The picture quality is amazing at this price point with various picture settings like dynamic and movie. I currently have it set at movie as it has a darker look so is not so washed out. The only bad point is the contrast ratio which is 1000:1 this means compared to another monitor with the ratio of 10000:1, blacks wont be as black more of a very dark gray. Although you only notice this if you go looking for it like me as i read into all this contrast ratio and 1080p differences on the internet.
