Advantages: Crisp screen, good quality
I have the same monitor at work and knowing how good they are I did not hesitate to buy another for home.
The size at 24 inches is large for a monitor and when you factor in the price compared to an Apple of equivalent size they are a bargain.
Maybe not as stylish as the Apples but yet quite stylish and the build quality is up there with Apple. The base is solid and not that easy to knock over partly due to its weight.
The features are pretty good too, card reader for various cards, two USB ports on the side and numerous connections on the rear for computer cables including HDMI.
The resolution at 1920x1200 easily handles the 1080p HDTV equivalent which makes it ideal for gaming so its great in a kids play room.
The set up can be a bit tricky. You need to understand which cables go where and the onscreen menu can appear a bit random but no more so than a modern TV.
The screen is also great for use with a laptop and docking station (the set up I have at work - although you do not need a docking station it makes it easier when you want the laptop out of the office). The screen is for all intents A3 size or 2xA4.
The split screen function is useful so you can use two applications st once from different sources ie, gaming and internet or office and gaming or tv and gaming etc etc.
Great all-rounder with plenty of applications which will get use for the next 5 plus years atleast.
Summary: Worth the money
