Advantages: Looks, 24", clarity, tilt screen, touch screen
Disadvantages: None for me
In my job, I do a lot of data analysis, and have reports open with columns upon columns. Its sometimes difficult to find a user friendly way of viewing the data on screen, and despite increasing my monitor size it still didn't offer me much help. My wonderful boss suggested a second screen, to use alongside one another, and when it came I realised he had opted for this beauty!
To start with, this monitor looks the part. It is stylish and elegant and would fit right in in the home office, just as much as it does at work. The virtually frameless monitor with edge to edge glass creates a working space that is much easier to use, but it does look stunning too.
The LED backlit 24" monitor provides flawless images, and excellent clarity. As its my work monitor, I don't get the opportunity to watch videos, etc, however I have no doubt that this would offer excellent viewing for watching films / videos (in cinematic quality with Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 max.) in a 16:9 widescreen format). I would imagine that it could double up nicely as a pc and TV for a teenager or student with limited space. For this same reason, it would also be an excellent choice for gamers.
The streamlined cable design means it is easily hidden around the back of the monitor (a cable can seen in the photo, however only one is actually from the monitor).
Another nice little feature is the touch screen buttons to adjust the brightness, volume and turn on an off.
Installation was simple and took minutes.
The viewing angle can be changed to suit the user, as it easily tilts back and forward dependant on your preferences. The tilt can be adjusted by up to 4° forward or 21° backward.
With a VGA connectivity you can easily connect to laptops (and I have at work, when our network crashed - it proved rather useful!), and the HDMI port also allows that HD connectivity is always an option.
As we all know, it's not often that bosses like to actually splash the cash, (especially as I work in the public sector), however this has dramatically improved my working day and I am almost positive it has made me more efficient as I spend less time trying to analyse data.
