Dell Ultrasharp 1907FP ... this your buy when you need a 19" monitor. I have been using it for the last 4 months and don t look back. I also have a 21" 1600x1200 high end at work, for comparison. The 1907 is crisp, has no ghosts, a very useful 2 USB ports at the back pointing downwards; 2 more to the left side; normal analog and DVI inputs. I don t notice any dead pixel. Best of all: It is very bright, has a good contrast; also due to its matte screen that you frequently only find in professional monitors. It adjusts perfectly well and stable in its height and can be rotated by 90° to reach the connectors easily. I have tested both DVI and analogue input; switching forth and back on ... WHEN I GOT THE BOX THE FIRST THING I NOTICE WAS THAT IT WAS WELL PACKED, THIS IS GOOD BECAUSE UNTIL THE BOX ARRIVE YOUR HOUSE OR SHOP ITS GOES BUMP AND PUMP, AND FOR A SENSITIVE MATERIAL LIKE TFTS SCREENS THAT IMPORTANT. I MOUNTED THE SCREEN, EASY YOU DONT NEED THE MANUAL ( BUT THERE IS :), AND THEY INCLUID EVEN Cable(s) 1 x 15-pin D-Sub and 1 x 24-pin DVI-D cable. Dell Ultrasharp 1704FP ... came with my new Dimension 5100 Desktop. It s a real cracker of a TFT, very clear with graphics, text and pictures. OK with DVDs but there are probably better options out there if that is your most important use. The 1704 has the height adjustable stand which is sturdy and very easy to use.
