does perform well under a variety of light conditions, including where there is direct sunlight behind you. There are many adjustment options for this monitor, including a "text" mode, in which the colour and contrast changes so that the screen is optimised for reading text. This is obviously an excellent feature for those who have to work with documents on-screen for long periods. Sound A nice feature is that the monitor is a fairly slim flatscreen which contains concealed speakers that produce decent sound, which is certainly sufficient for watching online video clips, but not up to delivering a feature film.
