This monitor is a 24" screen which is Full HD to 1080p and had a VGA and a HDMI port on the back.
I use this screen with my laptop when i am in need of a bigger screen and it is truly superb. After watching many Blu-Ray movies on here, you can truly see High Definition.
I connect the screen to my laptop via HDMI lead, though you can also do so through the VGA port, which also delivers simliar results. The screen also has a Line-In port and a Headphone socket. The speakers on the screen aren't the best, but do to the job, so you may find you need to buy some seperate ones. Though PC screen speakers are never the best anyhow.
The black Glossy finish looks very smart in any workspace. The screen fits together with ease, simply by clicking two peices in place and then tilting the screen to your desired position. The control buttons are on the bottom side, though the text on the front is somewhat difficult to see without getting in for a closer look.
All round this is a brilliant bit of kit, especially for the price it is, and more importantly, because it is Full HD at that price and size.
Recently my TV broke and rather than purchasing an expensive HDTV I saw this monitor had an HDMI slot and as I only wanted it for my PS3 it seemed like a good deal. I was initially sceptical as to whether it would be as good as an HDTV but decided to go for it.
On receiving the item I discovered it seemed a lot bigger than my previous 19" Phillips TV and it certainly looked a lot more modern and expensive to. The casing on the screen is very shiny and one word of warning is be careful when touching it as it show up finger marks easily. The stand that came with monitor seems strong and overall the product looks and feels much more expensive then it is.
On connecting my PS3 via the HDMI connection I was amazed at the quality of the image. It is just as good as any expensive HDTV such as Sony's expensive models and for just under £150 its a real bargain if you only want it for your computer or for the HDMI connection. I have played games and Blu Rays on it and having tested my PS3 on a Panasonic Plasma HDTV I can honestly say the quality of the image is no different and looks perfect.
Beforehand I had read reviews stating the screen at its factory settings is too bright but I found it just right as it makes the image and colours look more impressive.
There are however a few bad points to the product, however they are not major issues and I am thoroughly pleased with it. For example, the buttons underneath the screen are very fiddly and difficult to operate, but I had gotten used to this after the first couple of days, plus I dont feel the need to use the buttons much, other then changing the volume, which leads me on to my next point. The speakers are of poor quality, sounding very tinny and distorted. This was not really a problem for me as I already have a set of surround speakers that I was going to connect anyway, so I recommend you do the same if you purchase this monitor.
Of course as a monitor, for a lot of people the primary use of it may be for their computer/laptop. I connected my Toshiba laptop to it and it certainly looked impressive to see my usual desktop on a much bigger screen! The colours and quality once again looked superb and I have watched several Youtube HD videos which although were going through the standard VGA Cable looked very great still.
Overall this is a great product with just a couple of minor issues that you should NOT let put you off from purchasing it. I would recommend this to anybody who wants to experience HD without purchasing an expensive HDTV or somebody who wants a decent screen for their computer for a low price.
