Advantages: Dirt cheap

Disadvantages: Only a VGA port, no audio, low aspect ratio

The Hanns.G HW173A is a great purchase if you are on a budget pc build or simply cant afford anything over £70.00. Really you should expect to pay more for a 17" widescreen monitor if you want crisp high aspect ratios and low respnse times, But for around £60 this is fantastic value for money. the screen size is a bit small for games and films but is really good if all you are doing is surfing the web and word processing. unfortuantely it is only equipped with one VGA port so as i sed earlier you will not really be able to watch HD movies on it or play games. It also has no speakers or headphone jack so you will need to run the audio directly from your PC but for £60 you can't really expext to have these features. I have owned this for nearly a year and it does a good job. It comes windows vista ready but it is annoying as it always has a big green thing come up in the middle of the screen saying ADJUSTING whenever the resolution is changed. overall this product is fairly decent and does the job. If you are on a budget then this is the monitor for you, If not then i would'nt reccomend it. I would rate it a 3/10. Remember, It's never too late to rate my review.

Summary: Works well, good if you have a tight budget, if not don't buy.
