Advantages: Good widescreen display
Disadvantages: Very small speakers
Initially I bought this monitor as I had heard good things about the Hanns.G make, and on a budget of up to £120 the thought was that I couldn't go wrong. Unfortunately I found out at a later date that for a few pounds more I could of had a 22" of the same make (which is what I did for my own pc as this monitor was bought for my daughter). On first looks the monitor is well built and comes in a Black and Silver finish - the display is very crisp when set at the native 1440x900 display limit and has the usual DVI and VGA Connection as well as a line in socket for connecting your audio via the built in speakers. The sound from the built in speakers is very tinny and I would highly recommend using separate speakers connected direct to your pc. After just over a year of using the monitor I noticed a blue line had appeared going from top to bottom of the monitor screen approx 2/3 of the way across from the left hand side - at first I thought it was the graphics card and after switching back to the on-board graphics card and trying a spare vga cable we found out that it was the monitor that had failed - although still working the line is a bit anoying and as this happened just outside of the warranty for the monitor there was nothing I could do about it. This is the reason I am giving it 3/5.
Also I have noticed that the stand that it comes with is quite flimsy although does serve its purpose and the screen does come with holes on the back to enable wall installation.
So on summary I would say yes a good buy if your not looking to keep it for a long time and to make sure you invest in separate speakers.
Summary: Crisp display, cheap price, good looking
