Cost is the key to this monitor not high performance, don't buy this if your going to be watching Blu ray films. This screen was my first step into widescreen computing going to this from an old 15" 4.3, the change was incredible deeper blacks, richer colors and higher contrast. Screen resolution is low compared to others but if this is your first "big" screen then I doubt you'll be able to notice any issues. After gaming for well over two years using this, I can say that there is no ghosting or image tear making this good for high fps games such as CSS.
