Advantages: Excellent quality, performs well and it's sexy to look at.

Disadvantages: Would have liked to have seen a USB port.

I usually stick to purchasing higher end monitors as I do a lot of photo editing and film editing on my Mac. I also use the web at lot. I don't use this monitor for game playing - although my husband does and he can highly recommend it. So looking around for good monitors is a major thing for me, and I rely solely on reviews.

I purchased this from Amazon for £129.99 and received it within 3 days of ordering it.

THE SPEC:
A full 1080p HD monitor is a must have for me and this was a great price for a 22 inch monitor. It's slim and sleek looking and is a combi of LED and IPS display technologies. It connects to my Mac via an HDMI cable. And you can also connect it via a VGA or DVI interface. It's screen format is 16:9 which is standard today. It's lit by a backlight. I was worried at first because I heard alsorts of stories from consumners saying that backlit sources were uneven and sometimes gave off a cloud effect. Thankfully I have not witnessed this on my monitor. Response time is 5ms and comes complete with a stand. If you wish to pop it onto a wall then it is compliant with the VESA mounts and it's fully tiltable upto 15 degrees. I was also surprised to see that it has a built-in headphone socket, not that I'd use this.

THE PICTURE:
The colours and very accurate and match whatever I get printed at my photo print center. Resolution - very similar to that of of iMac's screen res, and that takes a lot of beating. Clarity and contrast are excellent, and of course you can make adjustments in the settings menu - very easy.

POWER CONSUMPTION:
This is a very important factor for me and should be for every one else in light of austerity measures. It only draws off 35 watts of electric which isn't at all bad.

WOULD I BUY AGAIN:
Yes! Well I infact did, my husband was so impressed that he bought one for himself a week after I purchased mine.

Summary: Great refresh rate, exellent picture, accurate colour value for money, does everything I need it to.
