This 23" monitor uses a 65w AC adapter. It has dynamic contrast ratio of 5 million to 1 and 178 degree viewing angles. The resolution is 1920 x 1080,6ms G2G response time on the thickness of 19.5mm and brightness 250cd/m2. This 6ms response time is relatively slow compared to other monitors 2ms. However it still performs the same way without blurring.
It has IPS and LED backlighting that allows the display to be viewed very nicely from a wide angle. The light weight monitor can easily be moved around. Being very thin and beautiful, the monitor has good looks that make it suitable for a living room or open plan area. The colours seem to be accurate. It is fantastic for viewing movies and office documents. Connect it to your computer and see. You will be extremely pleased with the quality. It gives a crisp and clear picture that is not too bright. It gives a great viewing angle (178 degrees) no matter where you sit. I highly recommend this monitor to anyone!
I've had this monitor for a good while now, I got it for £155, but i'm sure it's available cheaper now (with a quick look on amazon I found it for £129). I also own a 32" Lg TV that I have been very happy with and that is why I was drawn toward the company for this monitor.
My requirements for this monitor from the offset were fairly basic, it is just connected to my desktop PC on which I do day-to-day tasks such as Internet browsing and Uni work. I find it's LED backlit 1920 x 1080 resolution and 23" Widescreen set up make for a very crisp and satisfying experience, also bare in mind I am using my PC's HD output which is another great benefit of this monitor, the choice of your standard DVI and HD inputs....It also looks nice as a unit with it's black glossy design.
I got my monitor in-store (because I hate waiting for delivery) and had it up and running within a few minutes, I just put the cables in the back, connected them to the wall and my HDMI port...and then 'Robert's your mother brother' I had it going. Like most monitors it is Plug and Play.
In summary this monitor has a good spec for the price range and is very well built. A reliable monitor that gets my approval any day of the week.
I bought this monitor a couple of months back for £150 and I use it with my laptop at home as a secondary monitor. LG had a good reputation in my opinion at producing good quality electrical products and in particular TV's and Monitor's. This was one of the main catalysts behind me purchasing this particular product.
The monitor is black in colour and I think it has been designed well and looks good. It is a 23 inch wide screen monitor and has a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080. This is a fairly high resolution screen and does the job for me. The picture quality is nice and sharp. You may want to look at something which is higher spec'd if you are looking to be playing games, which I don't.
If you want to measure up your desk to ensure one of these will fit the dimensions are width 54.9 cm x depth 23 cm x height 42.2 cm.
The monitor has both a DVI output which is your standard plug with the pins and normally slots into place and you can then tighten with two screws. The monitor also supports HDMI which is the High Definition alternative. This is the option that I use and generally provides a better picture quality with it being HD. Point to note is not all laptops and PC's support HDMI although it is becoming more and more common.
The monitor is essentially plug and play, no software required. You just need a power socket and a free DVI or HDMI slot on your computer. I found the monitor very easy to install, it was unboxed and working within 10 minutes.
I have had no reliability issues to date and I think this is a good mid-range, well priced monitor. I don't believe you will find much better at the price. No complaints from me and definitely gets my recommendation.
