Clearly you know nothing about monitors! Refresh rates below 72Hz do cause eye strain... on CRT (glass) monitors. This is because the glow of the phosphorus in the CRT tube fades after being hit by the electrons emitted by the electron gun at the back of the tube. Once the phos has been hit again it lights up before starting to fade again which gives the flickering effect. A higher refresh rate just makes the tube flicker faster than the eyes can perceive. Since this is a TFT screen and the pixels are either on or off with NO FADE AT ALL then the refresh rate is irrelevant. If your screen is causing eye strain, see an optician.

LG is crap! I have terrible sore eyes because their crap monitors are unable to set refresh rates higher than 75Htz. This is the cause of max eye strain.
Screw youLG - I now know why the korean race all have slitty eyes. Its because they are squinting at LG monitors all day!LG is crap! I have terrible sore eyes because their crap monitors are unable to set refresh rates higher than 75Htz. This is the cause of max eye strain.
