Monitor for gaming on a budget - Sorted! (LG L225WS)
Member Name: Michael
Advantages: Easy Set-up, Low Price, Good Picture Disadvantages: Not the most aesthetically pleasing monitor on the market. I got this monitor free with a gaming pc which I was going to use to play flight simulators. After over a year of hard service in a teenage boys bedroom, it is still going strong. There is still the same high quality picture as it had when I bought it. In fact, I was so happy with this monitor that about 9 months ago, I bought yet another of these to create a larger windows desktop. It was so easy to set up even to those who know nothing about monitors. Just plug it in and press the auto/set button and it sets itself up. It may not be the best looking monitor but for the price, there is nothing like it. I have had Flight Sim X at full graphics on these screens and the quality was absolutely brilliant for it's price (which when I bought them was £119-£110). I am glad I never forked out over £200 for a Sharp monitor because this was everything I need and more. The base is sturdy and can take the weight of a speaker from my surround sound system. One thing I don't like is how easily it swivels as it can take a while to line the monitors back up if hit. I would recommend this monitor to anyone and am thinking of buying yet another (the joys of dual GPUs!). Well done LG! Summary: Great for anyone from gamers to people who just need extra space on their desktop.
