I moved house and was after a 19 inch LCD TV for my room. I viewed quite a lot of televisions that were within my £200 budget, I found a lot of them had poor quality or lots of blurring when showing motion. However I then saw the LG Flatron M198WDP. It uses DAFI and Real Colour Management that makes the colours on the screen vivid and natural and also Contrast Enhancement that boosts the brightness and contrast, I also found this screen handled moving images far better then the others in this price range.
I was also looking for a telly that had a built-in digital tuner so that when analogue is switched off I do not have to attach an additional box to the TV and cluttering my room. It also supports High Definition.
I like the fact the screen can also be used as a computer monitor. I watch quite a lot of DVDs however my player is not multi regional, so this means I can play the other regions on my laptop and attach it to the TV and watch it through that instead. The LG Flatron has a special chip that optimises the picture when used with Windows Vista.
The LG Flatron has inbuilt speakers that are of a decent quality.
I also like the look of the screen. Its black with the inbuilt speakers below the display area, I find the frame around the screen is kept nice and slim making it unimposing and not too large.
The only thing I find with it is that the main screen menu is slow to respond, which is such a small thing considering all the other great features of this television.
