After the television in my room getting very outdated and eventully breaking I decided it was time for a new one. I already had a nice flat screen computer monitor in my room so I didnt really want another monitor. Then I come across this beautiful TV/ Monitor. I decided I would sell my flat screen monitor to my dad and purchase this.
I recieved my LG M237WDP after just a few days of ordering it (it cost me around £180 at the time). I was very impresssed at how easy it was to just switch between the monitor and the television! The quality of the monitor is very good (it couldnt get much better in my opionion) it does what is has to, its very clear and it is a decent size screen. The television is also very good, its not as good as a HD television by no means, but its clear and compared to my old square TV the picture is amazing.
The television all in all, is very good for the price. If you want a monitor and a TV all in one this is probably the best one available to you for under £200. The only small problem I have noticed with the TV is the remote is very slow at responding. You press to change channel it takes about 6-8 seconds just to switch! But this isnt much of a problem.
This is a wonderful TV and ideal for those looking for a TV-PC Monitor dual use.
It is full 1080p HD so you can view your games and movies in their utmost quality (depending on their output) and that extra inch above the standard 22" really makes the difference. Having said that, it can be a little too much for a PC gamer unless they've got the right desk layout for such a large screen. And on the subject of gaming, the TV has a 5ms response time, great for everything except games, but it might be noticeable to the more hardcore gamers who have everything maxed out, but no real reason to turn your head at this TV.
It has a great contrast and resolution of 1000:1 and 1920 x 1080 respectively. Plus the viewing angle on this is 170 degrees which is all the degree you'll need!
As it is expected to double as a PC monitor you'll find this a very compatible device, it even comes with a VGA cable so you can easily hook up your PC / Laptop to it and watch videos / play games straight away.
The only down side is the sound, its not got much oomph to it but you can never expect sterling sound from the inbuilt speaker in a TV - monitor, you're expected to have some decent audio equipment if you're mildly serious about entertainment.
Apart from that, its a beautiful looking TV, very simple and elegant and I love the red lip on the bottom. It's LG so you know its going to be simple and reliable which it really is.
Absolutely recommend this beyond any other TV in the price range its just lovely.
