Some older peices of software can't cope with widescreen and you need to tweak down the resolution to something 4 by 3 - eg 1280 x 1024 - which distorts the picture, but that's not the monitor's fault. My card gives digital video out which this monitor acccepts directly, so no analogue involved at all. Good monitor - fast enough response times for action games and for watching movies. Drivers are unnecessary for Windows vista, although you can download something from LG's site; I'm not quite sure what it adds, if anything. I'm using and nVidia card whcih will drive it at the native resoltuon of 1400 by 900 in both Vista and Ubuntu.
