Also in the packaging was the power cord and the D-Sub cable, the D-Sub cable kind of got tossed to one side however as I intended to use a HDMI cable.

What first caught me to the monitor was the look, it was simple with a nice gloss black finish. In my search for a 27" monitor that I would fall in love with I came across the LG 27" W2753V-PF, this is now a discontinued product and as such I picked this up for £200 at the local electronics shop. I have seen this for £350 on amazon so you may want to shop around first and see if you can find this in a shop.
