NEC Multisync LCD1970NXp ... you would think I knew what I was writing about. With that in mind and this being my first LCD review, I thought it would be prudent to not only review this product but to also put in my feelings of the differences between CRT and LCD, the result should be a review of this product and it should help those who are considering upgrading from CRT to LCD. What is in front of me.. I have a “NEC MultiSync LCD1970NXp” that I am looking at, it has a flat screen, and the surrounding frame appears to be a brushed alloy that encompasses the screen. NEC Multisync LCD2180UX-BK ... a technical standpoint, this is a fantastic monitor. It has a great resolution (1600x1200) that is good for gaming with two SLI s and graphics programs. Its amazing how many windows you can fit into a resolution this size. The menu, connectors and refresh rate are also very good. The main down falling is its style, which is bland and boring compared to other monitors out there. Dont expect your friends to be drooling over the looks of this monitor. On my model the bottom plastic frame is slightly concaved and deformed, but I think this is probably just a one off and it does not affect any of the functions of the monitor... NEC 1550VM ... decided that a TFT monitor would be a good idea for my desktop PC, as I found the one with my laptop actually left me with less eyestrain and headaches than the CRT monitor I?d been using, I had a look at few different makes before deciding on this little beauty. So what made me choose this one? Well first off the NEC Mitsubishi brand is well known and I?ve had a Mitsubishi TV and Video and both have been very good, and secondly at the time Dell had a 10% off offer on monitors, which brought the price of this one down to around the same as the budget models (although there were a couple of really cheap ones), this one cost me £310 but the normal price is £3...
