I've first bought this monitor and started it using around a year ago, at the same time that I've bought my computer.
It wass pretty much only an budget widescreen (16:9) monitor, and I didn't think its image quality would be so greate for the things I do (gaming, picture editing, drawing) but I was quite wrong.
The resolution of the monitor itself is 1600x900 which is perfect for the 16:9 aspect, and also the fact that any operating system along with any GPU will recognize this PnP monitor properly & you won't have problems with the resolution.
The uniformity of all of the main colors is pretty good, and the uniformity of the brightest colors is also good and it is better than the 2053BW model.
Now when it comes to gradiency, I'd give it a fifty fifty when testing the black color, but again the brighter colors are quite excellent with it.
There is also no delay when watching DVD or DivX movies/clips even in the dark and contrast scenes which is also a huge plus!
I'd also like to say something about dead pixels, I've had the monitor for a year as I've said and I've ofcourse hit the monitor accidently with various items, or my hand but somehow suprisngly I've never had an dead pixel! Which is weird considering theres been pressure to it, the monitor is also on most of the times and usage can kill the pixels, but I do not have any dead ones yet, so this is an another huge plus!
So, I guess whats left is saying if I'm personally satisfied with this model? I can say, yes & no. For its price, it is good but someof the cheaper models outbeat the specifications of this one.
