Advantages: massive and perfect picture quality

Disadvantages: perhaps too big for some desks!

i am reviewing this monitor not as an owner but as a very regular user, the monitor actually belongs to my brother in law. he got his hands on this monitor about 8 weeks ago now for £299.99 but i understand you can now get it for around £250 if you shop around.

as my brother in law is running vista you really see the value of this monitor it truly does bring images to life. having watched hd tv i can honestly say this monitor provides viewing to that sort of standard.

the clarity and response time from this monitor make it briliant for gaming and watching dvds or telly. we recently watched the old firm game online on it and it gives exceptional quality pictures.

MagicTune™ with asset management, MagicColor™, MagicBright2™

for those of you not familiar with magictune here it is explained.

This proprietary calibration tool uses the Windows environment and a mouse to set the monitor at exactly the right settings for the user. Samsung's description of the product sums it up best:

Colors on an LCD will adjust and will appear different to the average user when the system is changed, depending on the characteristics and performance settings of the system. MagicTune provides a Color Calibration feature that helps set the LCD monitor color to a default color standard. This feature simplifies the complex gamma correction process into a few simple steps, enabling the user to enjoy the same optimized high quality color standard on every system. The earlier OSD platform could never have implemented the precision and ease of color calibration features of MagicTune.

if you havent used this feature before you will be taken aback with how easy it is to set the sound, colour, brightnes, contrast and more with a click of your mouse. a very useful feature if your pc is a shared one, as many different people will be doing different things and have different needs its so easy to change and change back you will love it!

all in all i was so impressed with this monitor i am saving for one of my own, having recently just bought myself an acer monitor which i still rate as a good monitor i will still have to change to this one because this is way way better than good!!

although i didnt feel there was an awful lot more i could write about thisgiant of a monitor i did think that now that i was green i would add some pics just to let you see that it really is a massive but very attractive monitor!

Summary: this is ideal if you watch movies on your pc or just if you like things big!!
