Advantages: Big screen easy instalation
Disadvantages: Not thunderbug proof.
I've had my screen for One and a half years, I bought it in a package deal with a Compaq presario desktop, and it has been faultless.
The controls along the bottom of the screen are simple and easy to use, and there ia a god range from 0 to 100 in brightness, contrast and colour tone. The screen is not widescreen but it is plenty big enough to watch from the other side of the room even if the top and bottom are cut off when watching some DVD's.
The screen base includes a cable tidy, so you won't end up with cables snaking all over the back of your desk, and theres no risk of the screen falling over either, with the large rigid base which screws into the bottom of the screen.
Very sorry, i've just realised that i lied about the screen being faultless, a little thunderbud thing crawled into it about a month ago and decided to die in the middle of the screen, which can be a distraction whenn using microsoft word as it looks very similar to a full stop.
Summary: A satisfying buy, but perhaps out of date now with the invasion of widescreen and HD

- 06/06/08 You say you got this in a package deal with your PC, it would be interesting to include the price of the monitor if one were to purchase it from a store and possibly give an indication of the cheapest place to buy it from? :) |

- 05/06/08 I had an NEC one for a Presario I bought over five years ago. The controls sort of went weird after about three and a half years and then it broke down a few months ago |
