although this was quite expensive for the average LCD monitor, the Samsung SM173P is no ordinary LCD!! Firstly, the SM173P is the most aesthetically pleasing monitor I have seen in production at the moment. In all, the design is very minimalist, giving a tidy and sleek feel to the monitor. On the front there is only one solitary silver power on/off button on the right bottom corner and "SAMSUNG" in the middle of the lower border. From the back, the monitor looks like something the designers behind the iMac and iPod would have come up with! the screen to get a good view. It can be mounted on the wall if required. The screen is very good looking (important to me as the PC is in my lounge) The output from the speakers is very tinny. my workplace with a batch of 5 computers, and it just so happened that one of them found its way onto my desk… Ah, the perks of working in an IT Department! It almost makes up for the fact that I’m stuck down the very lowest level of the office building and rarely see the light of day! I cannot give you an exact price for this particular monitor. However, using my extensive TFT screen knowledge, or in other words, taking an educated guess, I reckon you would probably pay somewhere around £320 to £350 for this particular screen. Specifications The monitor has a maximum resolution of 1280 x 1024 and will run in SXGA. The monitor will display 16.7 million colours ...
