WHAT S THE DAMAGE? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I would have to say that these are NOT the cheapest of 17 -inch LCD monitors - retailing at well over the £300 mark some might find it a bit dear for their liking. Misco.co.uk are selling it for £386.58 (incl VAT) and I was hard pushed finding a current price for it anywhere else. although this was quite expensive for the average LCD monitor, the Samsung SM173P is no ordinary LCD!! Firstly, the SM173P is the most aesthetically pleasing monitor I have seen in production at the moment. In all, the design is very minimalist, giving a tidy and sleek feel to the monitor. On the front there is only one solitary silver power on/off button on the right bottom corner and "SAMSUNG" in the middle of the lower border. the screen to get a good view. It can be mounted on the wall if required. The screen is very good looking (important to me as the PC is in my lounge) The output from the speakers is very tinny. This does not bother me as I do not watch DVD s or listen to music through them. This suits me as I only need sound for clips found on the Internet. The playback of films on DVD I find is not very good. I find the picture is fuzzy and a little jerky. This may be a limitation with the software that I am using (Power DVD 5).
