Advantages: display quality, speed
Disadvantages: none so far
I wanted a larger monitor for graphic design. So I picked up a Samsung on sale in Staples a couple of years ago.
The colours and contrast are very sharp. You get a CD that helps you set it up for best performance. I can see a good quality image from most angles, which i couldn't on my old cathode ray tube monitor.
After two years all the pixels are still working and the picture quality is still very good.
To be honest i don't know what difference the response time makes - it is probably of more use to gamers. I'm more of a creative and any lag seems to come from my computer rather than the monitor
My next monitor will probably be something a lot larger. This was very large at the time i bought it- but newer models are much bigger. That said i would happily choose Samsung again, as this monitor seems to last and last.
Summary: a very good monitor
